Abbott Case Study PDF Print E-mail

SENS magazine

Brief

Develop a practical and educational magazine for people suffering from diabetes, which is to be the main form of communication about Abbott glucometers. The publication was also to serve in supporting product sales and brand loyalty among the target group.

Challenge

Build a relationship between the producer and end client. Communicate a variety of important information regarding diabetes, treatments, and lifestyle options in an easy to understand language.

Editorial Response

Sens has been published since 2004. The magazine has a lifestyle focus, which sets an inviting tone for the publication. Each issue features a variety of topics that are not directly related with diabetes such as sport and hygiene, fashion and beauty. The idea behind the magazine is to inspire diabetes sufferers and suggest ways in which they can more easily lead healthy lives.

Results

There has been an enormous response to the magazine, with hundreds of letters and phone calls from readers who have been inspired by the magazine. 98% of participants in a recent research study have responded positively to the publication, stating that it was interesting, positive and inspiring.
